Every year, Clínica do Nariz e Face welcomes patients who live outside Porto: from other regions of Portugal, Portuguese living abroad and international patients. Around 40% of the rhinoplasties performed at the clinic are revisions, many for patients who seek out Prof. Dr. Miguel Gonçalves Ferreira after surgery in another country.
Travelling for surgery is an important decision. That is why the clinic organises the process so that you only do in Portugal what truly has to be done in person, and follow the rest remotely.

International patients
How it works, step by step
- First contact and photographs: send us your photographs and what you would like to change, on WhatsApp or through the form.
- Video consultation: the surgeon reviews your case by video call, explains what is possible and can show you a simulation.
- Trip planning: the team helps you choose the dates and gives guidance on accommodation and transport. As a rule, the minimum stay in Portugal is 7 to 10 days.
- In-person consultation and surgery: there is an in-person consultation before surgery, which takes place in hospital, in the Porto area.
- First post-operative consultation, also in person, before you travel home.
- Remote follow-up: the remaining follow-up consultations can be done by video consultation.
