How the video consultation works

  1. Booking: contact us on WhatsApp or through the booking form and choose the day and time.
  2. Photographs: before the video consultation, send us photographs of your nose and tell us what bothers you and what you would like to change.
  3. Video call: your case is reviewed based on the photographs and the conversation. We explain what is possible, which type of surgery may be indicated and what the recovery is like.
  4. Next steps: if you decide to go ahead, we book the in-person consultation in Porto or Braga, where the full examination and the Crisalix 3D simulation.

Who the surgeon is

Rhinoplasty at Clínica do Nariz e Face is performed by Prof. Dr. Miguel Gonçalves Ferreira, a specialist in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery (Portuguese Medical Association no. 35109).

He has been operating since 2001 and has performed more than 9,000 rhinoplasties. In primary rhinoplasty he uses preservation techniques, and around 40% of his surgeries are revisions of rhinoplasties performed elsewhere.

Surgeries take place at Hospital da Luz Arrábida, in Vila Nova de Gaia, and at Hospital da Ordem de S. Francisco, in Porto. Outside Portugal, he also operates at the Majesty Center, Al Murug, Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

No. The video consultation is a first assessment and a chance to clear up questions. Before surgery there is always an in-person consultation, with examination of the nose and of your breathing.

Yes. All you need is a phone or computer with a camera and an internet connection. It is the most practical way to start for anyone living outside Portugal.
